Fitness Equipment – There are many things that can help you along to get in shape, these include –
Foam roller – Perfect for post exercise self massage.
Body Fat Calipers – Stop being a slave to the weighing scales which only give unhelpful and demotivating behaviours. Instead use the more accurate fat measurement calipers
Skipping rope -Old school fitness techniques still work, skipping can be done anywhere
Barefoot shoes -Vibram Barefoot shoes -Cheaper Alternative
These shoes are all the rage as they allow you to walk ‘barefoot’ – albeit I have seen people arguing against this with some relevant points…anyhow, If walking in the street seems too much for you in these then consider just during your workout. The full price official shoes are available from vibram but personally I just use surf shoes.
Books – Obviously my book has to be top of any Christmas Book List –

Packed with new insights, thoughts and methods for creating motivation you will never look at the issue of getting in shape in quite the same way again.

Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fenton – Full of cooking recipes that make use of more traditional methods and techniques to maximize absorption / nutrient availability. Great piece on fats and how they are NOT the reason you are out of shape.
The Fat Loss Bible – Anthony Colpo – A great book on the mechanics of fat loss by hard hitting and straight talking Australian Nutrition researcher Colpo. He is hugely in favour of calories. Which is a contrast to Nourishing traditions above. As you would have read elsewhere on my site. I think both sides of the coin need to be addressed.
How to eat, move and be healthy by Paul Chek – A comprehensive yet simply written book on how exercise fits into the equation of health as well as including nutrition and blocking factors
Brilliant Positive Psychology by Charlotte Style – Great book on positive psychology and the underlying principles of what makes us happy and how you can incorporate this information into your life to feel good about yourself!Great to develop your mind, knowledge and motivation.
