Day 3 of Ramadan was pretty easy really. I got up on time and early, ate hat I had to eat and then just cruised on through to nightfall. With less clients than the day before and cooler temperatures it was not overly difficult now I am in the swing of things. It occurred to me though that the total lack of hunger may be aided by not drinking water. Counter intuitive perhaps but drinking water without eating would lower blood sugar through diluting the blood. SO day 4 I tried adding in water. My theory proved correct as it accelerated my hunger. A longer test would of course be needed for any thorough conclusions on this issue. Day 4 was by the fr the hardest. I have been sticking to 2000 calories a day on the head and after 4 days of it the effects begin to catch up with you!But after battling through the morning difficulties the body soared onwards.
Day 5 was my final day on it. I started off as normal at 4.30am but then come midday I had to do some sunbathing in the 30c heat. I wasn’t sure how I would feel afterwards, i doubt many Muslims go sunbathing at midday during Ramadan. Afterwards I felt like death and thus decided to break the days eating fast. I then continued through to sunset but you wouldn’t say Saturday I stuck to the rules.
Either way, a great experience but now I return to normal eating and finally get back to training. New body fat lows, I’m very close to the ultimate body fat level, im about 36mm of fat now and reckon 30mm with a bit of added muscle would give a full 6-8 pack. That will take time to get there but persistence always pays off. So now it is back to weights and hitting them hard. It will take a week or so to readjust after being off fitness for almost a week.

*This is my own 10 point self measurement system, it does not correlate to body fat scores. At a guess 40mm – 8%, 50mm – 9.5%, 60mm – 11%, 70mm – 12.5%. I do not take it everyday if looking to gain muscle or maintain as it puts me off wanting to eat more. If on fat loss phase I take it daily.
