I have set up a blog!!..(8 years late for that trend???)…I have had one before but I just copied articles into it so was not much interest to a real person….ironically I have set this up to keep google search engines happy yet I will write it in a way a human may actually find it interesting…assuming they have a interest in getting in shape and are not part of the grammar police….
The last time I just wrote what I was thinking was when I ran the daily blog in my challenge “10 Weeks To Get Ripped” back in 2010…. in this blog I shall write about what training I have been doing, the clients I am working with, daily events that are related to health, fitness or happiness. …it should be of interest to anyone who is trying to get in shape or works within the weight loss profession…..personal trainers, nutritionists, life coaches and the like….
Stripping Body Fat
I am currently redoing my whole website…..hence this blog has appeared and despite being up 6am and working straight through there is some enthusiasm for writing a post here on a Saturday night, to be fair I am just back from the gym and feel so pumped I have to do something constructive……
Last October I decided I wanted to focus my efforts on getting super ripped, with the power of facebook it is easy to jump onto the professional fitness models pages and see what they are up to. All my life I have been of a general focus, on the one hand i wanted to be ripped yet at the same time be able to jog an ok ish pace and likewise be able to sprint a nice time when i compete in 400m every summer. The result is I am quite good at all three but not amazing in either one. I thought I would focus a good year on just working the body and see what results happened. I half started in October and This January I officially started the new focus.
So Far So Good
In 7 months i have gained about 6kg of weight, most of it muscle. I purposely have not let myself strip fat which is most frustrating for me as I am used to being around 9% ish……so sitting here at 10-11% for a few months feels awful….at the beginning of the year I had planned a two week fat stripping phase in April before going back to muscle building. I was so excited to do the detox you wouldnt believe. Though never easy to do, in just a couple of weeks I have stripped 2.5% fat and probably sit at 8% or just below right now.
The weighing scales have dropped from 77.4 down to 73.5 kg, albeit they will go back up as right now I still havent reloaded the muscles with carbs nor rehydrated myself fully. I have also changed measurement of weight which will affect things too. Body fat dropped from 56 untis to 42.5 , this is my own self measurement system. It does not correlate to any actual body fat percentage but allows me to measure myself daily so is a better system to use.
When you lose a bit of fat you also lose water and the muscles empty of carbs. The result is you feel/are significantly smaller. It is the opposite yet similar feeling of when you are a few % fat over your ideal levels. The reason I am so pumped post gym is because as I recarb I am getting some size back and after a pump on the weights you look ripped….happy days!!…..(size being a relative word of course, at 74kg-ish I am hardly Ronnie Coleman)
Right, i will leave this writing here…day 1 done…i will go walk on the south bank as it is a gorgeous evening….
Friday –
Diet – Protein – 138g, Carbs – 379g, fat – 82g, calories – 2806, % P: 20 C : 54% F: 26%
Exercise – Off day 🙁 🙁
Weight – 73.4, Body fat – 42.5mm*
* This is my own 10 point self measurement system, it does not correlate to body fat scores (At a guess 40mm – 7.5%, 50mm – 9.5%, 60mm – 11%, 70mm – 12%).
N.B This Blog will have little checking for good grammar as one I despise grammar, it slows me down and secondly I am not expecting many to any people to read it so it is irrelevant anyhow.
