Why
did you work with Ben, what were your goals and what had you tried
before?
My story is quite simple really. I have been yo-yo dieting for years.
When I first joined Fitness First Ben took me through my induction.
After
making slow to little progress on my own I decided that for my birthday
I wanted to sort myself out. I therefore decided to get a personal
trainer. Ben was the obvious choice.
My
goal was to lose weight, or rather inches as Ben advised me to focus
on, and keep them off.
How
did you find the experience?
I
loved our training sessions together. Initially we sat down, worked
out my goals and I filled in the metabolic typing questionnaire.
Ben then sent it off and the results came back pretty quickly.
I was
rather surprised by what foods did and did not agree with me. Anyway,
I went on a week's elimination diet, cutting out alcohol (very difficult!
hehe), grains, carbs, red meat and the like, just to see what affected
me and what didn't.
I
have to say that at the end of that week, I'd shed quite a few pounds
and felt very alive and full of energy. I then went onto following
my "good, bad and occasional" food list and Ben gave me
some suggested menus.
In
the exercise sessions we worked really hard and I quickly improved
in both fitness and strength. We also did some EFT in the sessions
which helped me too.
What
results did you get?
I have
definitely seen results, as have my friends and family! I've had
quite a few very positive comments about my decreasing size.
As
Ben had advised me, the scales didn't change that much but the inches
have dropped off. I am very much on the road to a slimmer, fitter,
happier me! I am currently two dress sizes smaller than when I started.
A second,
very important benefit is that my back pain has reduced so much
so that it does not affect me in every day life anymore. This was
worth the price of the training in itself!
